I’ve been putting off posting in here for a while because my situation has changed recently…
At the end of July a good friend of mine convinced me to join Slimming World so that I can finally deal with my weight problem. She’s done amazingly well on it and I wanted to see if it would work for me. Well, a couple of months later and it’s made a huge difference, nearly 2 and a half stone has melted away and I’m lighter than I’ve been for about 5 or 6 years. I’m back into size 16 jeans and I can feel them getting looser by the day. It’s awesome!
For the last month or so I’ve been debating whether to set up an entirely new blog with vegan SW friendly recipes. I knew that if I did this, HLV would most probably disappear. The way I’m eating now will probably stick, even after I’m at target.
For now I think I’m going to stick what I’m cooking up here and see how it goes. I’m eating the same meals as before but just preparing them in a different way to cut back on the fat. I also figured that cooking is all about tweaking recipes to your tastes anyway, I do it all the time, so if any of you want to add any extra fat, you will. The great thing about SW is that there is plenty of room to include regular treats, so I have been eating vegan cake and ice cream here and there and I’ve wanted to tell all you guys about it!
Feedback would be great. If this doesn’t start working for HLV then I might move on to a different blog, but for now I think that it might work nicely.
