My name is Emil and I’m a big fat vegan queer.
I went vegan over 10 years ago, back when eating out was painful, when no one really knew what a vegan was and when I had to rely on health food shops having Plamil in stock for my regular chocolate fix. Luckily times have changed, most folk generally know the basics when it comes to veganism and it’s a lot easier to get my hands on all kinds of sweet treats. Life is pretty good for a vegan these days and I spend most of my time cooking or eating so I can show everyone on this blog.
Whilst a huge chunk of my time is spent eating, thinking or writing about food, there are other things in life I enjoy too. I love good cinema, cross stitching, Buffy, Cats and Steven Universe. I don’t get to do it too often but I like to travel, I’m in love with Germany and the German language but since coming back from my trip to Beijing, I’m desperate to explore a little further afield.
I currently spend time between Manchester where I live/work and Edinburgh where my lovely boyfriend lives. This blog can be pretty sporadic depending on my mental health, but I keep up with it when I can.
I adoped this absolute cutie, Kobi who is my best friend and brings me all the joy. You’ll probably hear lots about him
